In addition to Certified Instructor Training, the Safety First Organisation provides approved courses for the public, private hire and special needs transport sectors. Each can be conducted on site or at our dedicated training facility in Essex.

Certified Instructor training is conducted over three days and provided on a one-to-one basis.

Training

Safety First Organisation is an approved centre for the Edexcel awarding body. We provide National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ's) in:

• Team Leading - Level 2
• Customer Service - Level 2
• Road Passenger Vehicle Driving - Level 2
• Managing in Road Passenger Transport - Level 3

• Spectator Safety - Level 2
• A1 Assessor Award
• V1 Internal Verifier Award

We are a registered centre for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). We provide the following training courses through the CIEH:

• PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) Level 3
• Health and Safety in the Workplace - Level 2
• Principles of COSHH - Level 2

• Principles of Manual Handling - Level 2
• Principles of Risk Assessment - Level 2

We also have centre status with the British Safety Council and currently offer:

• Entry Level Award in Workplace Hazard Awareness, Level 1

• Certificate in Health and Safety at work

We are an accredited centre for: NCFE and NOCN awarding bodies.

Minibus Hire

We offer a minibus Share scheme for organisations who need a minibus but cannot afford to buy one e.g. schools, clubs, charities. This is called - Essex Minibus Share.

Any organisation that wishes to use the buses must join Disability Essex (£50 fee) and then they can make a donation for the use of the vehicles and simply ensure that the vehicles are returned in the same condition.

Consultancy

The Safety First Organisation provides a professional, detailed consultancy service aimed at local authorities, legal departments and those businesses and charitable organisations operating in the public hire, private hire and special needs transport sectors.

We can advise your business or local authority on introducing an appropriate customer care policy; how to cope with disabled and special needs customers effectively and how to train your management personnel and staff in the special skills and techniques they will require to provide a safe, legal service.

Safety First also offers detailed Risk Assessments, Incident Analyses and Operational Audits undertaken by fully qualified staff.
